As you can see mprodeling is finished.
look at the explorer icon and render tree icon in the left upper side of camera view.
it will be convenient for you. just double click to open the property.
render > get > material > lambert
diffuse > icon right click > image
click new ( ignore bump mapping parameter just leave them default )
select image clip
define the projection method, in this case planar xz
and do it for ambient icon again.
then you will see the textured object in textured mode.
but it's too dark
so, press 7 to open render tree property and duble click material node
and change the texture display mode to constant (decal)
it will be better
or you can drag q to preview
