The Tag->SplineTag command in the Model module allows you to perform tag,
untag, or reverse tag operations on all points of a model that are contained within the
boundary of a curve (spline) that you create. This effect is particularly useful for
tagging a group of points on models with a large number of points.
Procedure
- Create a curve and a model.
- Position the curve over the model as desired.
- Choose the Tag->SplineTag command.
The SplineTag dialogue box is displayed.
- Set the Projection Plane for the curve (xy, xz, or yz).
- Specify the Tagging Operation: Tag, Untag, or Reverse Tag. These options refer to
the operation that takes place on the points contained within the curve. Points of the
model outside the boundary of the curve are not affected. Points within the boundary are
tagged according to the operation chosen
- Pick the curve, then pick the model.
- Choose the Show->Tag command to view the result.
