Set Cluster |
The Tag->Set Cluster command in the Model module allows you to create a selected group, or cluster, of tagged points on a patch or NURBS surface, a polygon mesh, a curve, or a face, and save them as a specific a cluster name.
Clusters are useful for modelling areas of an object because you don't have to continually retag the same group of points.
The cluster name is listed in a cluster list, accessible by choosing Tag->Cluster List. Once you have defined a number of clusters, you can quickly select them from this list.
You can also give the cluster its own centre, which lets you deform and constrain objects to this centre just as you would for an object's centre.
If you want to animate clusters, you can use the Shape->Set Cluster command. For more information on clusters in animation, see the Creating and Editing Clusters section of the Animating User's Guide.
For information on using clusters in modelling, see the Deforming with Clusters of Points section of the Modelling User's Guide.
To update the clusters after you have created them, see Updating the Points Assigned to the Cluster.
