Adjusting the Photons/Energy of each light.
A couple of things to keep in mind when adjusting
your lights.
1. The light's luminance or color does not control the brightness of the
effect-this is controlled by the Photon Energy. (Which we will adjust
in a moment) The light's color is only used for direct illumination.
2. While you can continue to use selective lights in the scene, Global Illumination
will ignore these settings.
1. Select Lights from the drop-down list.
2. Select the "Sunlight" in the Photon Director
(If you are using a version of Softimage that is newer than 3.8sp2,
please skip to the next section)
3. Give it a Photon value of 100,000.
4. Give it an Exponent value of 5.00
5. Make all the Energy values (R,G,B) 5,000
Adjust the rest of the lights in the same manner, giving them the values listed
below.

Preview/Render your scene
It should look something like this:
Not as bright as it once was and everything is
covered with spots.
We set the lights up properly, but they are not accurate enough.
To get rid of the spots, we need to turn up the accuracy.
